Introducing a new item that’ll send you sky high: Jetpacks. Jetpacks are part of a brand new item type that coming to Battle Royale called Backpacks. Not to be confused with Back Bling, Backpacks are strictly gameplay items and cannot be purchased as cosmetics. Backpacks will fill an inventory slot, just like a weapon or consumable and have a variety of uses.
Fans of choosing different characters will also be pleased to lean that Archaeolo Jess has been added to the Save the World game mode and she will be available soon via the event store.
Beyond this, we have changes to the gameplay as well. Those include changes to the drop rates throughout as well as a new limited time mode dubbed Close Encounters. Going live Friday, May 25th, this mode is designed for close quarters combat with shotguns and the aforementioned jetpacks. That alone should prove for an interesting addition to this content update.
